7. The Post Observation Conference
- This is where the teacher and supervisor review, analyze, and reflect on the collected data from the observation. The idea is to have the teacher learn and improve their practice. From this effort, a working plan can be constructed for ongoing growth and development. Sally refers to constructivist learning theory to point out that the supervisor’s job is to help the teacher construct new knowledge. The dialog should take place in the classroom within two-days of the lesson, be non evaluative in nature, and feature more teacher talk. In preparing for the conference, the supervisor should edit the data to make sure it is clear and understandable. Supervisors need to build trust, and Sally gives many examples of how to do so along with sample forms. At the end there may be recommendations for further observations or other professional development activities.

I have no idea what this says but I am approving it on good faith.
